Happy birthday Frances McDormand! She won an Oscar for this performance and if ever there was one deserving of an Oscar it was her. And she already had one!
Her performance in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" was an absolute masterwork. She could go from super sassy and funny to heartbreaking. Sometimes in the same scene.
I'm not sure how history will remember her...if she will be an underrated or overrated actress. All I know is that she should be recognized as one of America's finest actresses. Ms. McDormand...you are a treasure.

Three Cheers For Tchaikovsky!
- Three cheers (and a massive thank you) to the magnificent Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky, the brilliant composer of many masterful pieces of music. Your music has colored my life in so many ways. And your masterpieces live on. Whether it's his amazing "Swan Lake" or the Christmas classic "The Nutcracker," the music is immortal and hopefully is discovered by many a future generation.

Here's To The Bard Himself...SHAKESPEARE!
https://amzn.to/2qW46fZ
Today marks the birthday (AND passing) of one of the worlds greatest literary figures, William Shakespeare. And to celebrate, may I suggest one of my favorites from director Kenneth Branagh, "Much Ado About Nothing." One of the more underrated movies and plays, this one I saw as a budding young actor and enjoyed the wonderful, playful performances of these fine actors. Everyone looked like they were having a great time and it is indeed a charming comedy. Shakespeare may not be as popular as it once was decades ago, and certainly not as popular CENTURIES ago, but the legacy lives on and it's important to younger generations to watch modern interpretations as a way of enjoying the entertainment of our ancestors.
My goblet is raised high for The Bard! Huzzah!
